Art
The Denison collection of East Asian art comprises objects
from China and Japan, with the Chinese material forming the largest
group. Denison holds about two hundred Japanese netsuke and some
woodblock prints.
The Chinese collection contains primarily textiles, ceramics, scroll
paintings and rubbings. Most of these items date from the nineteenth
and twentieth centuries. Denison has an extaordinary collection
of Burmese iconography.
