Art
East Asian objects at Allen Memorial Art Museum, from ancient to
contemporary. The Ainsworth Collection of over 1,400 woodblock prints
has been augmented more recently by purchases of contemporary Chinese
art and Japanese prints.

Facilities and Programs
Asia House - residential hall featuring programming on Asia
Newton Prize: EAS Program's endowed fund for recognition of excellent
undergraduate academic work on Asia; prizewinning entries are published
in the EAS Program's occasional journal Aotung.
Oberlin Shansi: foundation located on campus
which brings Asian scholars and performers to Oberlin and funds
student Winter Term projects in Asia. Shansi also sends recent graduates
to several Asian universities as English teachers.

Japanese Language: Courses
Chinese Language: Courses
East Asian Studies: Major and minor.
The major has several tracks, including a language track, a country
track, a discipline track, or an East Asian regional track. Regardless
of the track chosen, all EAS majors are required to take a minimum
of two years of a language, and most take more.
International Studies: Concentration
The concentration is taken in conjunction with the IS major. The
International Studies concentration requires foundational courses
in political science and economics.
