NOTE ONE: Application instructions explain the required written essays, references, and signatures which must be mailed to the Japan Study office by the application deadline.

Cultural Practicum

Herbal Medicine in Ibaraki

Japan Study students join their undergraduate counterparts from Waseda University’s College of Engineering in an internship experience at a Chinese Herbal Medicine company in Ibaraki Prefecture (north of Tokyo). Students stay in the company dormitory and work together as they learn about the herbal medicine industry and prepare a presentation for executives at the company. Those Japan Study students with a background in mathematics, computer science, chemistry, and physics will find this internship very interesting.
