Public Affairs Internships at Daito-shi, Osaka

Students spend four weeks interning at a variety of community centers around Daito-shi, a suburb of Osaka, and live with a host family.  The internship sites typically include libraries, schools, government offices, and elderly and rehabilitation centers.  Students spend about one week at each site.

Students will quickly notice that government and community centers in Japan operate differently than they do in the United States.  Students use Japanese language every day and come back to Tokyo feeling that their communication ability has improved greatly.
