Campus Highlights
Colorado College, a four-year nationally prominent liberal arts & sciences college, enrolls 2,075 undergraduates. Founded in 1874 at the foot of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, Colorado College is known for its unique location and flexible schedule--the innovative Block Plan--in hands-on learning, as well as offering small, seminar style courses. Over 75% of the students at Colorado College are involved in service projects annually. Alternative block breaks, organized by students working with the college's Center for Service and Learning, include work in construction, environmentalism, and children’s programs.

Internships: Colorado College's Career Center has listings for local, unpaid internship opportunities. The Career Center offers individual appointments as a means to assist students in preparing for an internship.

Surrounding area
Colorado Springs is well known for its natural beauty. Students have a wide range of outdoor activities readily available to them. At 14,110-feet, Pike's Peak is a popular for hiking, biking or riding the cog railway. Another favorite stop is the Garden of the Gods, a 1,364-acre national landmark visible from many points in the city. The soaring rock formations are a popular hangout for the area's experienced rock climbers.
